Minutes of the Annual Parish Council Meeting held on Monday 12 May 2025 at Saltfleet Methodist Church, Main Road, Louth Lincolnshire LN11 9HF

APM 01/25 Welcome to the Meeting: The Chair opened the Annual Parish Meeting (APM) at 18.30 and welcomed everyone. Refreshment were available and offered to parishioners.
- Chair thanks the Clerk for all the work that has got into organising the parish with all policies and audit governance all being up to date
- Purchase of burial ground
- Exemption from the environmental agency that has kept costs down
- Change the covenant to be in the parish names
- Archaeological dig needs to be done
- Plan where the hedge needs to be placed
- Speed indicator board. Thank you to the parishioner who help with the installation of the device.
- Community orchard which was funded by the Kings fund. Thank you to the parishioners that helped in the planting the trees
APM 02/25 To approve the draft notes as minutes of the last meeting held on the 13 May 2024: It was RESOLVED to adopt and sign the notes as accurate minutes, and they were dated and signed by the Chairman.
APM 03/25 District and County Councillors Report: Cllr Ricketts had no specific APM report to make.
APM 04/25 Community Groups: No community groups
APM 05/25 Questions from the Public:
- A parishioner reported a landowner clearing up area in their land that may have a badger set. The chair explained that if this was the case then this would be an offence however they do need to report to the police. There was much discussion about this involving many parishioners.
- Sale of the Crowne – the vendors need to sort out the deeds as the premises needed a change from business to residential.
- Beach quad bikes have been reported around Haven end of the breach to be creating lots of mess along the dunes and deep tyres tracks. The parishioner was advised to take photos and report to the police using 111 number. If the bikers where actually their when the parishioner was there then to call 999 immediately to report the crime.
- Flood protection – sea defences
